Mark 10:17 talks about the Rich Young ruler, now I really time don't want to set the stage on this, you should read it yourself, however, I think Jesus makes an interesting point here. Like many of us, the rich young ruler was a good person, he honored his parents, kept the rules, didn't lie or cheat, yet He asked Jesus a question, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Now You have to be careful what you ask Jesus, because the answer you get will often times demand change. But Jesus said, YOU LACK ONE THING..."Go sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven, Then come and follow me"

The young guy walked away sad, but i want you to notice what he forfeited, it wasn't just treasure in heaven....It was ALSO KINGDOM ON EARTH! Do you notice that? No where does it say that this guy is going to hell, nowhere does it say that He is horrible, matter of fact He followed most of what the Law said to do, however, there was OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING missing in His life, or He wouldn't have asked the question....case in point, when we give sacrificially in our finances 2 things happen, we gain treasure in heaven, and the KINGDOM OF GOD IS OPENED ON EARTH...so what are we waiting for, we can't take it all with us! Father, open our eyes to your Kingdom!
